Sound therapy, also called sound bath, is an ancient practice that uses the power of sounds, and the waves they propagate, to influence our state to heal the body and mind. By harmonizing the vibrations of different sound frequencies, the body absorbs the vibrations to promote a state of relaxation, deep relaxation, overall well-being and facilitate healing by rebalancing the natural electromagnetic field emitted by the body.
The benefits of sound therapy are numerous: relief of stress and anxiety, re-energizing the immune system, the lymphatic system and vital energy, and improving sleep and concentration, among others.
I use a variety of instruments, such as Tibetan bowls, crystal bowls, tuning forks, Koshi chimes, Indian harmonium, rain stick, and Tibetan Tingsha cymbals to present the desired vibrational frequencies.
The session begins with a discussion to understand the person's condition and their needs. During the session, the person lies down and the instruments are placed on the body or spread all around. At the end of the session, the person remains lying down for a few minutes in silence, giving them time to slowly return to reality. A sound therapy session can be experienced as a moment out of time where you refocus on yourself and forget everything else. For group sound therapy sessions, the instruments are not placed on the body. It is more of a vibrational concert with the aim of well-being, relaxation and disconnection.
